Eurovision 2027: Netherlands' 3 Reported Acts Revealed

Image
By Sidra Salman · October 24, 2026 If you have been waiting to find out who will sing for the Netherlands at Eurovision 2027, we finally have names to argue about. Dutch newspaper AD has reported that three acts are in contention: Davina Michelle, Tangarine, and Marnix Emanuel. Eurovision news sites Eurovoix and ESCBeat picked up the AD report on October 23, 2026, and the story has been doing the rounds among Dutch Eurovision fans ever since. Let me be clear about one thing before we go any further: none of these three names is official yet. NPO has not announced an artist, and it has not announced a song. What AD reported is that these three acts are the front-runners, not that one of them has already been picked. That distinction matters, because Eurovision rumour season has a habit of turning a shortlist into a done deal within a day. What AD actually reported According to AD, the three acts are the same three that reached the final stage of the Dutch selection for Eurovisio...

His management announced the news on Thursday, October 22, 2026. I've covered Dutch showbiz for years, and this one landed like a punch. Kasper van Kooten Confirms Split: 'Het Is Over' After Summer Romance

Image
Het is over. After a summer that seemed to promise a fresh start in love, Dutch actor Kasper van Kooten (54) has confirmed that his relationship with Heleen Feenstra has come to an end — and his words about the split are as raw as they are brief. In an open interview with the showbiz magazine PrivĂ© , part of De Telegraaf, Van Kooten — best known to Dutch audiences for his role in the hit television series Gooische Vrouwen — revealed that the romance that blossomed over the summer has not survived the autumn. "Het is over, dat is heel verdrietig" The 54-year-old actor confirmed the breakup with words that leave little room for interpretation: "Het is over, dat is heel verdrietig" — "It's over, that's very sad." Van Kooten made clear he doesn't want to say much more about the split for now. The one exception he's willing to make is poetry. "De gedichtjes zijn het enige dat ik erover kwijt wil op dit moment. Het leven gaat door,...

Maarten Spanjer: De Telegraaf To Publish Final 18 Columns

Image
There is still more Maarten Spanjer on the way. Days after the beloved actor and TV host passed away at 73 , De Telegraaf has confirmed it plans to publish the unpublished columns he wrote before his death. Around eighteen finished pieces are sitting in the newspaper's drawers, and they will see the light of day after all. The news came from Evert Santegoeds, editor-in-chief of the Dutch celebrity weekly PrivĂ©, on Sunday evening. According to Santegoeds, Spanjer wrote roughly 25 columns in total. Only seven of them had been published when he died. That leaves about eighteen unseen pieces, and De Telegraaf intends to print them. What Happened: Maarten Spanjer Columns Saved From the Archive It almost didn't happen. Many columns written by public figures never surface once their author is gone — sometimes the family holds them back, sometimes the paper decides it's inappropriate. But Santegoeds told ANP that De Telegraaf wants to publish Spanjer's remaining work, callin...
